Key Academic Staff

James joined Guildhouse School in September 2018. He was previously the Director of Studies at King's College, The British School of Madrid and Head of Sixth Form at The Canterbury School. He is a Schools Inspector, examiner for a leading UK examinations board, an Economics and Business teacher and experienced residential Houseparent.​

Headmaster 

Naresh joined Guildhouse School in January 2019. Prior to teaching, he was a Hedge Fund Portfolio Manager and Trader with more than 17 years’ experience and expertise in financial markets. Naresh uses his skills and experience to enrich his lessons and run co- curricular activities such as The Bloomberg Market Concepts certificated programme. Naresh is also responsible for the Bloomberg provision at Guildhouse, and has been using Bloomberg terminals since 1992.​

Director of Guildhouse Business School

Ben holds various responsibilities as a member of the Guildhouse Senior Leadership Team. He oversees the retention and progression of all students at the College, which includes Higher Education advice, guidance and support. Ben is responsible for pastoral care and personal development, ensuring that students are guided effectively through their Guildhouse journey. This is achieved in partnership with his team of Pastoral Directors and their Personal Tutors. His subject specialism is Economics - he has previously been a Head of Department and a senior examiner for one of the leading UK examination boards.

Assistant Head (Pastoral, Progression & Personal Development) 

Rishi has been a member of the Guildhouse community since August 2015. With over 14 years in secondary school education, Rishi possesses rich and deep experience in Business Studies teaching and whole school leadership. Rishi is currently the Assistant Principal (Academic) at Guildhouse School, responsible for the whole school curriculum, learning & teaching standards and ensuring pupils are having a positive and progressive academic journey. Rishi is also a former Community Governor at a local primary school, a Head of Faculty and a Tri-College Foundation Programme Leader.

Rishi Nathwani

Assistant Head (Academic)

Stuart has experience in a range of boarding schools over a 30-year career. He has been a Housemaster at two schools and Head/Principal at three others. He inspects schools for the Independent Schools Inspectorate, has been Chair of CIFE, the Independent sixth-form colleges group, and National Chair of the Independent Schools Association. His teaching subjects are physics and business, having read Engineering, Economics and Management at Oxford, followed by a postgraduate year at Cambridge and an MBA at Edinburgh. ​

Stuart Nicholson

Assistant Head (Boarding & Independent Accommodation)  

Christopher is responsible for various projects around the college, liaising with external and internal partners to ensure student’s aspirations are reached and outcomes are achieved.​ Before becoming Assistant Principal, Christopher had been Curriculum Director of Science and a Teacher of Science at the college.​ Christopher read Molecular Biology at University College London, before working in the insurance sector and now, for the last 13 years, he has been working in high achieving education establishments in the UK.

We offer two fully supervised boarding houses, giving students the opportunity to experience living in London however they want to. We have an accommodation block within three minutes walking distance of the school and another that is just 15 minutes away by tube ride.  

Both our accommodation options are modern, secure ensuites and are supervised by our house parents and security 24 hours a day.
